1st Trip to Caldwell
I'm not sure how many people are still reading this blog (I look at it almost daily still). I came across this video the other day from my first trip down to Caldwell...city girl on a "real" tracker...who would have thought!
Boy, that video brought back memories! Tad sure loved the tractor! I didn't know him as a man, but I sure loved that little boy. I was Amy and Tad's babysitter for 5 years and so spent many hours on the farm and having "adventures"! Amy, Remember the snake in the barn with the baby calf? or the turkey stealing my watch? or feeding the baby rabbits with eyedroppers? I know you remember Tad's obsession with his spider man underwear! :) I have loved reading the blog..I read it daily too, it's been fun to get to know Tad as an adult. He never stopped loving adventure, did he? He definitely touched many hearts and lives and continues to do so through his story. Thanks for sharing the video!
What a great video memory of a special time. Thanks' for sharing it with all of us. I check out the blog daily and in the beginning a lot! loved hearing his voice and seeing the joy he had on his face. My daughter's Rachel and Rochelle spent time there with the Melichar family. My sister Turi and Al did a lot for me years ago. There was always lot's of love and fun to be had. Tad, sure touched a lot of people and left a lot of awesome stories of life and meaningful memories. love, your aunt nila
I'm another one that checks the blog daily...something about it is very calming...healing. Even the times when I leave the blog with tears running down my face, I have a big smile as well. Thanks for sharing
